My love of the outdoors began as a boy with fishing trips with my grandfather. I am fascinated by wild animals and enjoy the challenge of capturing their images with digital photography. I have been practicing digital photography for roughly ten years. This program will focus on the bird rookeries near New Iberia, Louisiana as well as techniques for bird photography.
Allen Sparks has been a member of the Memphis Camera Club (MCC) since 2008. He is a four time recipient of the MCC Photographer of the Year award including 2017. Allen teaches bird photography workshops at Strawberry Plains Audubon Center and has been published in Tennessee Wildlife magazine (calendar). Allen is the current Vice President of the Memphis chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society.
