Club Exhibits

One of the benefits of being an MCC member is the opportunity to have your work exhibited in local galleries. This page describes how to submit your images to an exhibition and how to prepare them for a hanging if your image is selected.

  1. The Exhibition Committee chairperson will issue a call for entries by emailing the entire membership. Also an event will be created on MCC's website calendar for the entry deadline date. The email and event will include the following information: Theme of the exhibition, if any, maximum number of entries allowed, deadline date for entry, and location of the venue, date of the hanging.

  2. Images are entered by uploading them to the club's VisualPursuits website. To use VisualPursuits you must have a login and password that is separate from MCC's main website. To obtain a VisualPursuits login follow the instruction in this video  login request tutorial.

  3. Once you have a login to VisualPursuits you may upload your images. Follow the instruction in this video to upload your images submit image tutorial.

  4. If your image(s) are selected for the exhibition you will be informed by email with instructions on when and where to deliver your prints.

  5. Download the fillable PDF exhibit form here. Fill in the information and print two copies. One copy should be taped to the back of the exhibit ready image and one copy should be handed in when delivering the image.

  6. The choice of frame and mat is up to the photographer, within the size limits set for the exhibit. Images can also be frame-less, as long as it has a hanging wire attached. All prints should have a hanging wire attached to the back of the image approximately 5" from the top of the frame . Other types of hanging hardware are NOT allowed.
