Exploring the Artist Within

David discusses his approach to seeing the scene and looking beyond the initial capture as I’m setting my exposure, capturing the moment, etc. Yes, it’s a beautiful moment or maybe it isn’t but I can see the potential in in the object or the view or the moment by understanding what is possible using the tools we have available to us today. We’ll look at original captures followed by end results and talk through why I captured the image and what led me to my end result.

David is a Plano, TX based artist who uses a camera to gather the raw material for his creative images. Selected by the ArtCentre of Plano as its 2018 Artist of The Year, he continues to grow and explore new techniques of expression utilizing a colorful style and unique perspectives on the world around him. Also, a passionate educator, David leads workshops around the country and speaks to photography groups about The Artist Within.
