It has been over a year since we have had a chance to meet in-person. We still are not allowed to meet at St. Francis hospital, however we will meet the second Thursday of May (5/13/20) at Halle Plantation club house. Seating will be setup for social distancing, masks are optional. If you have not been vaccinated masks are suggested.

We are asking anyone planning to attend the meeting to register using the "Register Now" button. There is no fee and this is for planning purposes only and as always our meeting is open to public.

There will be a short business meeting to elect a new Vice President and discuss club activities for the coming year. Lana Robison has accepted nomination to the Vice President position. Nominations will also be taken from the floor at the meeting.

We will then have a presentation by our member Michael Pachis on photography at the Memphis Zoo and will have a Zoo photo walk for MCC members with Michael on Saturday 5/22 to apply the presented principles. There will be no fee except providing for your own entrance fee to the zoo. Required registration and details are on our website here.

Michael Pachis an award winning photographer known for his images of zoo animals. Michael also is a volunteer photographer at the Memphis Zoo which uses his images in their social media, website, and publications.

Michael will present how to get compelling photos of captive animals. This will include technical details such as gear selection, camera settings, and post processing. He will also discuss composition, animal behavior, background selection and other factors in making a photograph.
