About this event

Resident Headshots

The Memphis Camera Club has been fortunate to use the facilities at The Farms at Bailey Station free of charge. As a gesture of appreciation for their support, we are volunteering to provide complimentary headshots for the residents of The Farms. We are seeking club volunteers to help make this event a success.

    • Shifts:
    • Shift 1: 8:45 AM – 11:30 PM
    • Shift 2: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

    Each shift requires:

    • 3 photographers
    • 3 photo assistants
    • 2 check-in staff member

    Volunteer Roles

    Check-In Staff

    • Greet each resident and confirm their name on the sign-up sheet provided by The Farms.
    • Create an index “shoot card” to identify the resident’s images.
    • Escort the resident and the shoot card to a photo assistant.

    Photo Assistant

    • Escort the resident to one of the three photo stations.
    • Ensure the resident is ready for photography (final looks).
    • Make sure the shoot card is photographed before the portrait session begins so images can be matched to the correct resident.
    • Direct the resident through three poses: left, right, and straight ahead.
    • Escort the resident from the station once the photographer is finished.

    Photographers

    • Three photo stations will be set up the with Godox/Flashpoint strobes and backgrounds.
    • Each photographer will receive an SD card at the start of their shift and will be switched out periodically during the shift.
    • Flash triggers for Canon and Nikon will be available; photographers may bring their own Godox/Flashpoint trigger if preferred.
    • Camera settings will be provided to ensure a consistent look across all portraits.
    • Lens used can be a prime at 85mm or a zoom that can be set to 85mm.
    • Each resident is scheduled for approximately 10 minutes.
    • The assistant will bring each resident to the station and present the shoot card before the first frame.
