  • Maximum: 20 participants

About the Location

Panther Creek Farm & Stable is a beautiful 3,000-acre working cattle ranch and riding stable in north Mississippi. With roughly 200 Black Angus cattle, rolling green hills, and scenic lakes, it’s an ideal setting for a western-themed photoshoot.

Possible Photo Opportunities

  • Up-close images of a herd of cows and calves
  • Cowboys and cowgirls unloading horses, grooming, saddling, and preparing for cattle work
  • Action shots of riders rounding up cattle, with photographers positioned for optimal lighting
  • Individual portraits of riders on hilly pastures or riding through lakes
  • Cow or steer roping in the pasture or stock pen, demonstrating real ranch-work techniques

Logistics

  • Photographers will meet at a central parking area near the horse trailers. After introductions and a brief safety and conduct review, horses will be unloaded, groomed, and saddled.
  • Photographers will be transported to strategic locations to capture the riders as they move toward the cattle. A truck or trailer will be used to reposition photographers as needed.
  • Restroom facilities are available but require a short shuttle ride.
  • Lunch will be chili and hot dogs served at the stone fire pit.
