Dr. Tom Fox has been a long time member of the Memphis Camera Club since the early 1990s. He has traveled extensively and presented many instructional / inspirational photographic programs. He came to Memphis to pursue a medical career but ultimately decided to leave medicine and follow his passion in the art of photography.

As a professional photographer, he strives to exemplify the unparalleled beauty of our natural world with his images. He has co-authored the best-selling books, The Wonder of It All and The Nature of Hope, which combine majestic images with inspirational insights. Most recently, he completed the photography for The Nature of Excellence – a beautiful coffee table book illustrating the attributes of excellence with photographs of nature.
His program on February 20, Exploring the Wind River Range in Pursuit of Excellence will take viewers into a lesser known photographic region of our country - with towering granite peaks and valleys laced with beautiful lakes and wildflowers.

For Tom, photography is an outward expression of an inward devotion, a visual reference for spiritual reflection, that he hopes will be an inspiration and encouragement to all of us.
