Old Camera Lenses


Tim Wheat of the Memphis Camera Club explains how old camera lenses can be part of your digital photography. Legacy lenses can be fun to collect, exciting to experiment with and they may be able to add a new dimension to your photography. 


Collectors may like the beauty and functionality of old lenses. Learn how a variety of camera styles and lenses may be adapted and used on modern cameras. Lenses that go back to the founding of the Memphis Camera Club almost 130 years ago.


Experiment with unique camera lenses, projection lenses, legacy macro equipment and even large and medium format lenses. See how modern cameras may assist manual focus and create unique photos.


Expand your photography. Legacy lenses may provide the optics and variety in your camera bag that will help you get the shot you want.


Tim will bring a 100 year-old camera body and several old lenes for you to see. Tim will explain adapting the legacy lenses and answer any questions you have about old lenses.
